In 2008, many faculty, staff, and grad students were new to remotely accessing the Windows-based PCs in their offices — perhaps because some were new to having broadband connectivity (rather than dial-up Internet access) at home. We fielded many questions about how to use Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Connection software.
I wrote step-by-step instructions for both the Windows and Mac clients. Here are my instructions for Windows XP users.
