A faculty and staff forum held by our dean a few days ago focused on the new competency-based degree program being developed in the college. One of the program’s students gave a dynamic 10-minute presentation to highlight how well he is liking the unique learning environment at just two months into his first semester of college. He focused on the autonomy the new program provides its students and how it is motivating his learning. I filmed the hour-long forum (which, unfortunately, was held in a poorly-lit conference room) and also created a three-minute edit of the student’s presentation. I also wrote an article for the college’s online newsroom which summarized the student’s presentation.
