Faculty, staff, and students who used ECN-supported computers had access to dozens (or possibly hundreds) of software programs which were licensed and ready to remotely install on request. Occasionally, ECN’s users would ask for software which wasn’t “packaged” for quick installation. Many factors affected our ability to accommodate. I wrote this article to spell out our policy.
